Orthopedic Sports Institute (OSI), is a busy, orthopedic practice with locations in Coeur d’Alene and Hayden Idaho. You will work closely with our specialized and fellowship-training surgeons and other healthcare providers in a clinic setting. These include orthopedic urgent care, physical therapy, durable medical equipment (DME) departments.

Job description

  • Evaluate, develop and administer detailed treatment programs with specific goals defined by the patient’s capacity and tolerance as well as in accordance with established pre and post-op protocols.
  • Educate patients regarding anatomy, biomechanics, pain neuroscience, and injury prevention to promote wellness.
  • Communicate with patients, team members, director of physical therapy and physicians to ensure a consistent level of care.
  • Complete daily documentation on new evaluations and existing patients.
  • Developing individualized treatment plans for patients.
  • Outlining clear goals for patients and the expected outcomes of the plan.
  • Using exercises, stretching, equipment, and hands-on therapy to manage patients’ pain, increase mobility, and prevent further pain and injury.
  • Recording patients’ progress and modifying the plan of care if needed.
  • Educating patients and family members about the recovery process.
  • PT/PTA must have and maintain an appropriate current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist and maintain current CPR certification.
  • Attends required team meetings and participates in clinic program planning and policy discussions as appropriate.
  • Complies with all applicable Federal, State, and local laws, regulations, and requirements, as well as, facility/agency specific policies and procedures.
  • Maintains confidentiality of all patient demographic, medical, company and other information. Ensures proper handling, retention and disposal of confidential documents and adheres to all HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Complies with company standards in patient outcomes reporting and maintains an acceptable level of (clinical and patient satisfaction) outcomes performance.
  • If applicable, instructs on and supervises aide programs to be carried out by the aide according to the aide training workbook. Instructs others in the techniques in order to reach goals.

Minimum Requirements:

PT- Masters degree or Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy from an institution accredited by Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education or equivalent PTA certifications

  • Graduate of accredited Physical Therapy program.
  • Must have a current and unrestricted license in Idaho.

Skills, Knowledge and Abilities: The candidate must be able to do the following:

  • Relate positively, effectively and appropriately with patients, families, community members, volunteers and clinic staff.
  • Exhibit strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Demonstrate basic computer knowledge and the use of an EMR system.

Salary: $65,000.00 – $90,000.00 per year
